Meghan Roman is the founder and principal of Stonerose Advisors, a Washington DC-based communications consultancy for technology companies, family offices and venture capital firms.
With roots from Silicon Valley, Meghan has designed and implemented communications programs for more than 40 technology startups, global corporations, and venture capital firms. She is skilled at introducing and building credibility for novel technologies and investment strategies that help business and society function better.
In addition to handling external affairs for a single family office, over the last decade, Meghan has been part of PR consulting teams for New Atlantic Ventures, Venrock, NEA and Menlo Ventures and has directly advised more than a dozen venture-backed technology startups. As an advocate of education and entrepreneurship, she has served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Georgetown University since 2016.
Previously, Meghan was based on the west coast directing communications programs at Horn Group (acquired by Finn Partners), Burson-Marsteller (now BCW, part of the WPP portfolio) and Applied Communications (acquired by UK-based Next15). Collectively, clients included HP, Oracle, PayPal and Adobe. Meghan holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a BSBA in Marketing and International Business, with a minor in Spanish, from Georgetown University.
