An excerpt from the McDonough School of Business…
Jeff Reid, founding director, Georgetown Entrepreneurship, recently was recognized by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) as a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow. Reid is one of only 87 Longenecker Fellows honored since 1986 for making an outstanding contribution to the development, furthering and benefit of entrepreneurship.
“I am honored to be recognized as a Longenecker Fellow,” said Reid. “It is truly humbling to join the ranks of the fellows, many of whose work I have long admired and had the privilege of working alongside over the years. They represent some of the very best scholars and educators leading the field of entrepreneurship around the world.”
Reid’s creative work in pedagogy has been recognized at USASBE multiple times with major awards. Among others, his work has been recognized through the National Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education (2004) and the National Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship Pedagogy (2018). His service to USASBE has also been extensive, including service as senior vice president for development during a critical time when USASBE was emerging from financial challenges.
