The Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies Entrepreneurship Club was founded in 2018 with the mission to promote entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the SCS community. We sponsor speakers, collaborative workshops, networking opportunities, and educational events to bring together SCS students, SCS alumni and the Georgetown community at large to connect and explore opportunities to innovate. Our aim is to connect student and faculty entrepreneurs with the direction and resources they need to succeed within the dynamic and growing entrepreneurial community in the DC Metro area and beyond.
Georgetown Entrepreneurship MED is dedicated to healthcare entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the Georgetown University Community. Each year, MED sponsors speakers, collaborative workshops, networking opportunities, and educational events to bring together members across the campus to explore opportunities to innovate within the healthcare space.
Georgetown Entrepreneurship Law is dedicated to entrepreneurship for Law students at the Georgetown University Law Center. They seek to lead the discussion at the intersection of law and entrepreneurship. In the upcoming year, their executive board members will put together an engaging speaker series that will give students the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs, small business owners, and investors. They will also host a number of pitch competitions, including Startup 101, in the Fall and Spring semester.
The Georgetown MBA Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club (GMEVCC) provides resources, opportunities and education for students interested in all things entrepreneurship and venture capital. Whether your interests lie in founding a business, working in venture capital, or practicing “intrapreneurship” at large firms or just keeping up with the startup world, we have something for everyone. GMEVCC strives to nurture creative thinkers and a get-it-done approach by formalizing entrepreneurial-focused career paths and skill sets.
Additionally, the club helps students connect with Georgetown’s Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, recruits students for the InSITE Fellowship, helps facilitate Georgetown’s participation in the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC), and helps recruit MBAs for Georgetown’s Venture Fellows program, a unique fellowship that allows Georgetown MBAs the chance to work in venture capital during their first and second years.
