Farm Fresh Truck – (Areebah Ajani CCT ’15, Surabhi Agrawal MBA ’16) FarmFresh Trucks provides healthy, fresh produce options at an affordable price via a mobile grocery truck to DC residents who currently have limited access. We do this by streamlining supply chain and going from produce providers directly to customers without the demands of a traditional brick and mortar store.

SECOND PLACE

SWAT – (Brandon Anderson COL ’15) SWAT (Safety With Accountability & Transparency) is a secure evidence collector and police misconduct reporting service. Our mission is to amplify the voices of communities by improving evidence collection through instantly securing real-time video from users’ cell phones, streamlining and automating the police complaints process and informing users of their civil rights. Using real-time data analytics, SWAT equips local governments with the nation’s first comprehensive, live database of police violence. SWAT cultivates a network of community residents and local governments working together to improve policing.

MarkApp – (Kevin Barrow MSF ’16, Josh Levitt MSB ’17, Michael Loftus MSB ’15, Tim Taurchini MSB ’17) MARK facilitates crowd funding for nonprofits, stimulates community around philanthropy, and creates data that empowers.

Uplift – (Sean Sullivan MSB ’15) A donorschoose.org for people suffering from mental illness.

HONORABLE MENTION

3CYCLE – (Eric Wu SFS ’17, Max Funke SFS ’16) 3CYCLE produces the plastic filament used in 3D printing from waste plastic, increasing incentives for local recyclers.

Hemeos – (Doug Grant MBA’16) Hemeos will maintain a registry of donors to procure peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) for patients who require life-saving bone marrow donations.

Barkzy – (Tonja Hardyman MBA ’15) Barkzy is a telemedicine platform for pet owners enabling them to connect quickly online with vets and enhance the medical profile of their pets.

My Bigger Mailbox – (Coral Taylor MBA ’15) My Bigger Mailbox uses smart lock technology to allow parcel carriers to safely deliver and ensure your packages will be at your doorstep when you get home.

Nosh – (Katrina Vassell MSB ’17, Kait Wildes MSB ’17, Angela Bai COL ’17) Nosh is a peer-to-peer food delivery service launching at Georgetown University this April.

SYRCH – (Michael Orso MSB ’17) SYRCH is a web/mobile app for college students, which centralizes peer-to-peer communication, scheduling, and tutoring.

PopHotel – (Clyde McGraw MBA ’16, Alex Caine MBA ’16, Michael Kelly MBA ’16, Keyvan Pajouhan MBA ’16) PopHotel is an innovative, urban hotel concept that leverages the power of the collaborative consumption economy in what can be described as a hybrid between AirBNB and WeWork. PopHotel leases vacant office space at a low cost and transforms it into modern and efficient urban accommodations.

Surelock – (Shilpa Chandran MSB ’15, Michael Saba MSB ’15) SureLock is a smart bike lock that aims to prevent and reduce bike theft worldwide. By bringing the bike lock to the connected world, SureLock leverages smartphone technology to provide innovative security measures and create a safer urban biking community.

OwnerShop – (Jordan Epstein SFS ’17, Estevan Cohn SFS ’17) OwnerShop is a rebate-shopping site that gives consumers rebates in the form of common stock financially embedded into all purchases.

Sunniva Cafe LLC – (Jake DeCicco MSB ’16) Our business is a functional beverage in the ready-to-drink coffee industry providing superior health and all natural energy benefits. Along with that, we have developed an extremely affordable and efficient manufacturing process by using dehydrated coffee which makes our product a simple one step blending process where any and all Co-packaging companies can produce world wide. There is no inconvenient, extra expenses of brewing and preparing our coffee. Our final product is completely finished after one blend of our simple yet very unique recipe.
