About the Georgetown Startup Accelerator

The Georgetown Startup Accelerator (GSA) brings together Georgetown alumni entrepreneurs in early stage startup companies with experienced mentors, peers, and top subject matter experts to help accelerate their business progress. Participating companies will have the opportunity to: 

  • Work 1:1 with experienced mentors
  • Set short and long-term company growth metrics
  • Attend weekly workshops with exciting guest speakers 
  • Learn alongside a community of peer entrepreneurs
  • Showcase your company to the Georgetown community
Our program is entirely remote, so companies can apply no matter where they are based!

Please note that we do not take equity nor provide cash funding for participating companies.

AI PRIORI

Founder: Emily Yu (SFS'01)
AI PRIORI utilizes AI technology to support social changemakers at the speed and scale of change.

Keep Company

Founders: Claudia Naim-Burt (SFS'08) & Adrienne Prentice.
Keep Company helps organizations stop preventable attrition of moms, dads, and caregivers.

Sweet M'lk

Founder: Dillon Denehy (B'18).
Sweet M'lk is a plant-based, sugar-free, chocolate milk.

Budeli

Founders: Carlos Bello (MBA '22) & Jinsung Bach (MBA '22).
Budeli is a property tech amenity that provides $1 food delivery to apartment residents with no tips or hidden fees.

dGo-on

Founders: Cesar Correa Parker (MBA'13), Josefina Correa Gutierrez, & Tomas Ramirez Armijo
dGo-on is a digital voting technology built into a SaaS system that provides much needed trust, as anonymity and correct ballot counting are guaranteed.

Parrotfish

Founder: Katie Pearson Fucci (G'20).
Parrotfish is a collection of sustainable, zero waste, plant-based and palm-oil-free shampoo, conditioner, and soap bars for a healthier planet and a healthier you.

Power & Pearls

Founder: Tonya Sloans (L'08).
Power & Pearls is an online boutique committed to helping women feel powerful, be seen as powerful, and ultimately make power moves by bringing the latest pearl accessories to women for the work day and for the weekend.

Ridge

Founders: Max Gottlieb (C'14) & Bo Mahr.
Ridge is a first-of-its-kind neobank providing digital banking services grounded in the triple bottom line: People, Planet, and Prosperity. Ridge's banking services protect nature, communities, and your money.

Student Global Ambassador Program

Founder: Michele Joseph (MBA'96)
SGAP is a leadership program that empowers underserved youth to take action on real-world problems by using STEM to solve sustainability and social justice challenges.

Toperty

Founders: Julian Uribe (L'20), Nicolas Albornoz, Nicolas Maldonado, & Pedro Botero.
Toperty is making homeownership accessible for Latin Americans by offering a home-financing alternative through a Rent-to-Own program.

Program Information

Important Dates

August 9, 2022: Accelerator applications close.
August 1 - August 26, 2022: Select founders are invited to interview.
August 30, 2022: Cohort is selected and notified of acceptance.
September 13, 2022: Accelerator kicks off.
November 8, 2022: Final Showcase - Demo Day.
November 10, 2022: Accelerator programming concludes.

Eligibility

Applying teams should meet the following eligibility criteria:
• At least one founder must be an alumni of Georgetown University.
• Companies should have at least an MVP.
• If your startup is not your full-time job, applicants should be prepared to dedicate at least 20 hours a week to growing their business over the course of the program.
• Ventures can be of any industry but must be for-profit companies.
• Companies can be located anywhere in the country or across the globe.

Cost

Companies that are accepted into the program will pay a one time fee of $500 to participate.
