Katie Kaps, co-founder and co-CEO of the wellness technology brand HigherDOSE and a Georgetown graduate, and Eva Alexandridis, co-founder of the skincare brand 111SKIN, spoke on the Wellness and Lifestyle panel at Georgetown’s 2024 Venture in the Capital Conference. Mannat Dhaliwal (SOH’24) and Devon Pasieka (MSB’25) moderated.
The founders discussed sustainability across the full supply chain, from lab-made ingredients to products designed to be used “like a thousand times.” Both described holding their products to high standards of proof, from global regulatory requirements to months of consumer testing. Alexandridis explained how makeup artists drove early growth and how her first retail partners shaped the brand, while Kaps described expanding into Sephora. Looking ahead, they expect more personalized, preventive wellness. Their advice to students: study science and business, and be patient, since real success can take five to seven years.
