Fiona Macaulay works at the intersection of innovation, leadership and global development.

Macaulay is a serial social entrepreneur, educator and field-builder committed to helping people achieve their potential. Fiona key-notes global conferences on the topics of “Leadership for Entrepreneurs & Social Innovators” and “Women’s Entrepreneurship”. She’s a TEDx speaker, writes a popular monthly column on leadership for Inc.com, and has been featured in the New York Times.

Macaulay founded WILD – the Women Innovators and Leaders Development Network- to support women social innovators to scale their impact, and thrive personally. WILD offers interactive leadership development workshops, and convenes the annual Women in Global Development leadership Forum, an event at the hub of a movement to increase leadership opportunities, and diversity of leaders, in the sector. Macaulay is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she also runs a leadership clinic for MBA students, and serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence to mentor and coach emerging social innovators, and leaders across campus. Fiona also adjuncts Professor at Georgetown’s School for Foreign Service.

Earlier in her career, Macaulay founded and for nearly 20 years was the CEO of Making Cents International, a social enterprise dedicated to economic growth that did business across 100+ countries. During this period, Macaulay established herself as a thought leader on the topic of global youth employment, and was instrumental in creating a movement for evidenced-based scalable and sustainable interventions.  She founded the leading global platform that disseminates evidence-based scalable solutions to increase youth employment, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. At the time her company was acquired, Fiona was recognized among the top 1% of U.S. female business owners.

Macaulay is a member of the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement Worldwide, and past Board Chair for CAMFED USA Foundation.  She was selected by Marshall Goldsmith (named by Forbes Magazine as the world’s #1 Leadership Thinker), for his global leaders program.
