Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Global Health: A Virtual Panel

Georgetown Entrepreneurship’s Entrepreneurship in Health Initiative hosted this virtual panel on Nov. 3, 2025. Panelists were Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga, co-founder and COO of Sehat Kahani; Dr. Karima Ladhani, founder and CEO of Barakat Bundle and an entrepreneur in residence at Georgetown Entrepreneurship; and Julie Cornell, principal of JAC Partnerships.

Aga described how Sehat Kahani’s telemedicine model reaches patients in Pakistan, including offline tools for nurses when internet access is limited, and the need to innovate continuously. Cornell, who previously worked on Johnson and Johnson’s global community impact team, explained ways to drive impact from inside large companies, from supply chains to market access. Ladhani shared how she moved from finance to public health and used human-centered design to create Barakat Bundle for families in South Asia. Panelists stressed working with communities, including family members and local leaders, to build trust.
