Ben Zimmerman

Managing Director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative

Ben Zimmerman currently serves as the managing director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative overseeing the management of all Initiative’s programs, staff, and strategic partnerships. This includes all pitch competitions, incubator/accelerators, academics, events, and mentoring programs.

He has also served in several administrative roles at Georgetown University since 2010, including an admissions partnership with online education hub, 2U and the School of Nursing and Health Studies, project manager at the Center for Business and Public Policy, and assessment lead and chief of staff in the School of Foreign Service. Before joining Georgetown, he taught English and social studies in the K-12 setting for several years in the northeast U.S. He also founded and ran a private tutoring business implementing organizational strategies for students and families to improve educational and social outcomes. Ben has earned an MBA from Georgetown University, M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Vermont, and a B.A. in communications and media studies from Boston College.
